Ok, this was done in response to the contest "Design a Deep Sea Dragon" here-

I really like the idea of figuring out how something mythical would actually exist in certain places. So the deep sea has very little light. Most of the light there is from bioluminescence and is blue-green. So the dragon skin is reddish, therefore harder to see, and the eyes are enlarged. The front legs are used only to grab, while the wings and hind legs are evolving into fins for stability and steering. The webbing is transparent so that it's harder to see. The tail provides motion. The white specks are the detritus falling from the upper ocean which feed the bottom of the food chain in the deep ocean.
